The name is common, but I'm not.

Meet Michael

I'm the Michael you've been looking for. A jack of all trades with a passion to help companies reach their max potential. I'd consider being your superhero but my cape is in the wash.

About The Guy In The Pic

In 2014, I earned my BFA in Graphic Design from Monmouth University. While my degree is valuable, my diverse real-world experiences have significantly shaped my career beyond Graphic Design.

Starting out in 2011 as a college freshman, I joined a startup as their first employee as a Graphic/Web Designer. Over six years, the company and my role expanded dramatically. As Chief Operating Officer, I wore many hats and mastered various aspects of the business including Admin, HR, Sales, Operations Management, Product Development, Marketing, and Finance. Despite my lack of formal training in these areas, I developed the skills to tackle any challenge. Loyalty and dedication became my core values.

An unexpected merger in 2021 redirected my path when I found myself without a title. Instead of struggling to find work, I quickly emerged as a valuable contributor within the food disposables industry. I deepened my knowledge of different products and their uses while applying the vast array of skills I'd gained over the years.

Today, I serve as Sourcing Director for Remcoda LLC where I manage multi-million dollar RFPs, negotiate with overseas factories, foster strong business relationships, manage the handoff from sourcing to procurement, and craft presentations for potential high-end clients—all while improving efficiencies and saving money. Each day presents new opportunities to learn and grow.

Having relocated to Fort Lauderdale after living in New York City, I'm actively seeking new career opportunities in Southeast Florida where I aim to further advance my career.

What's Important?

The Bigger Picture

When focused solely on daily routines, progress can stall. It's similar to a hamster running on a wheel—completely engrossed in the task at hand but not realizing there's no forward movement. My expertise lies in stepping back to view the broader landscape, identifying challenges, and devising and implementing effective solutions. However, let's not underestimate the importance of daily tasks. They are vital for any business’s operations, and I must admit, I enjoy tackling some of these smaller tasks because attention to detail is essential.

Freelance

Although I take on freelance projects occasionally, my true passion lies in holding a full-time position. I find that dedicating my time to a single company allows me to make a more significant impact. Loyalty is a core value of mine, enabling me to not only implement strategies but also witness their outcomes. In my free time, I focus on recharging so I can consistently deliver top performance at work. Additionally, I enjoy engaging in new and exciting projects outside of work, which enhances my skill set and brings fresh perspectives to my full-time role.

Positivity

We’re all human, and nobody enjoys working with someone who constantly complains about trivial matters, whether it's about the Brightline not stopping right at their doorstep or how unfortunate their life is. It's important to maintain a positive team environment because it reflects well on the company and enhances overall efficiency. Let's be honest, we prefer working with people we like, and our clients appreciate that too!

Common Sense

After numerous hiring and firing experiences, I've realized that common sense is surprisingly rare, despite its name. Rest assured, I have a knack for practical thinking. This ability to think things through proves invaluable, reducing the need for micromanagement and fostering increased trust. I'm a self-learner who enjoys solving problems independently while also being an effective team player.

Do we make a good fit?
